Administered by CCE, the CAPE program is committed to helping California organizations in all sectors continuously improve through the application of the Baldrige principles.
Teams from the 2013 CAPE Board of Examiners spent three months, including a weeklong site visit, rigorously assessing the Eureka recipients’ 50-page applications, which address the seven categories of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence: Leadership; Strategic Planning; Customer Focus; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management; Workforce Focus; Operations Focus; and Results. The evaluation of Eureka applications is overseen by the CAPE Panel of Judges to ensure the integrity of the process and to recommend recognition levels to the CCE Board of Directors for ratification.

These Eureka recipients demonstrated tremendous dedication, through countless hours of work by all levels of staff, to continually refine their processes, and improve the quality of their products and services for their customers, community and the overall strength of business in California.”
CCE will formally recognize the CAPE Eureka recipients at its 20th Annual Best Practices and Awards Conference on March 18, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, Calif.
