AMERICAN MEDICAL RESPONSE – SAN MATEO RECEIVES CAPE PROSPECTOR RECOGNITION
ORANGE, Calif. (May 28, 2015) – The California Council for Excellence (CCE) today announced the final recipient of the 2014 California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE)™ Prospector Recognition, American Medical Response (AMR), San Mateo
Alan Ichikawa, Chair of CAPE, said, “It is my pleasure to recognize and congratulate AMR San Mateo for applying the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Criteria to improve its organization.”
Administered by CCE, the CAPE program
is committed to helping California-based organizations from all sectors continuously improve through the application of the Baldrige Criteria and framework.
A team of two senior-level examiners of the 2014 CAPE Board of Examiners rigorously assessed AMR San Mateo’s 25-page Prospector application, which address the seven categories of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence
: Leadership; Strategic Planning; Customer Focus; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management; Workforce Focus; Operations Focus; and Results. AMR San Mateo was provided with a Feedback Report listing some of its strengths as well as opportunities for improvement related to the performance excellence criteria.

is a nonprofit educational foundation dedicated to helping California-based organizations achieve world-class results through the principles of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. CCE also administers the California Team Excellence Awards (CTEA) program, which recognizes process management, innovation and problem-solving skills through organized work teams.
