The California Council for Excellence is proud to announce that Momentum Group, headquartered in Irvine, Calif., has been named a recipient of the nation's highest Presidential honor for sustainable excellence: the 2016 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA).
Momentum began its continuous quality improvement in 1991 and, last year, received the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) program's highest recognition, the Gold-Level Eureka Award. In just over two decades, Momentum's sales have grown more than 400 percent and have outperformed the industry for 19 years out of the 22 the textile firm has been in business.

CCE is also celebrating the accomplishments of Kaiser Permanente San Diego, who was recognized by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program for its best practices in leadership.

Their visionary leadership is helping to power the economy and increase our ability to compete globally," said Secretary Penny Pritzker. "The Commerce Department proudly supports these four outstanding organizations for their unwavering commitment to performance excellence and their dedication to always reaching higher."
