Message from the CAPE Council

Become a CAPE Examiner

Each year, the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) Program seeks applicants for its Board of Examiners. The board supports and evaluates the performance improvement of all types of organizations—businesses, schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations, including government agencies—that are striving to serve as role models by applying for California's equivalent to the Baldrige Award.
Persons from all over California (and surrounding states!) from every possible organizational type and segment give their time generously and enthusiastically as members of the board.  To become a CAPE Certified Examiner you will:
• Attend a comprehensive training course or have applicable, recent experience
• join a group of industry experts and leaders from all sectors in reviewing applications for the CAPE Award
• Very likely participate in an applicant site visit as approximately 90% of applicants are site visited
• receive a recognition certificate honoring your efforts in support of the CAPE Program
• training and service hours may be applicable to your professional re-certification credit requirements
• Create a network of exceptional professionals for personal and company benefit

By becoming an examiner, you can make a major contribution to your own organization and to CAPE's goal of enhancing the performance of California organizations through the pursuit of performance excellence. If you have a desire to become certified, are willing to make the commitment of time and energy,  and want to benefit from an unparalleled networking and educational experience, please apply to serve on the CAPE Board of Examiners.
